Medical certificates are issued for a up to a two year period depending on driver health. For certain medical issues, as determined by a FMCSA certified physician, medical certificates may be issued for three months, six months or one year, all the way up to two years. Always check the expiration date on your medical certificate. It is the driver's responsibility to maintain up to date medical certification.
