First step:
Apply for a permit at e-Services Online or you can setup an appointment for walk-in at a Driver Service Center: appointments are made here.
Requirements:
Age 15: They must take the general knowledge test for a Learners Permit and hold it for 6 months until they reach age 16. Then they can take a road test for an intermediate drivers license.
Ages 16-18: They must take the general knowledge test and hold the permit for 6 months, then they can take a road test for an intermediate drivers license.
Older than 18: They must take the general knowledge test, but they do not have to get a permit or wait any certain amount of time.

Teenagers between the ages of 15 to 17 can take a proctored knowledge test online learn how here.
They can go online to make an appointment for issuance or do a walk-in at a driver service center of choice with issuance documentation.

Note:
1. If a permit is expired you cannot schedule a road test online. Renew your permit here.
2. Walk-in day for the road test at full service centers is every Wednesday.

If you pass your road examination you will receive your permit or license at that time.
